All life threatening conditions must be diagnosed by a certified medical doctor. Additional documentation may be required to establish the medical need for treatment.
There is a 2-week waiting period from the policy’s start date for inpatient admissions, accidents and emergencies
Surgeries, durable medical equipment, wellness screenings and critical care services will only be covered after 3 months from the policy start date
After demise, compensation as well as certain diagnoses and complication of those diagnoses will be subject to a 1-year waiting period prior to coverage eligibility. These include chronic and end-stage kidney disease, all cancers/oncological conditions, congenital illness, autoimmune conditions and benign haematological conditions (including sickle cell disease)
