    Got questions about our Serenity health plans?

    • Who is eligible for a Serenity health plan from Alafia by Reliance Health?
      Anyone can be added to our Serenity plans. Please note that the cover and benefits of these plans are optimised for older people living in Nigeria, which is why we market them as parental plans. But if they meet your needs, there is nothing to stop you purchasing one for yourself, a spouse, friends or other loved ones.
    • I want cover for other people, such as myself or my young children. Do you have other plans?
      We’re in the process of building a range of new plans for different audiences with specialised needs. The Serenity health plans for older loved ones are the first we’re rolling out. If the included cover meets your needs, then you’re welcome to purchase a Serenity plan. Otherwise, please contact us here and let us know your needs. This will help us in prioritising which health plans we roll out next!
    • Can my parents access healthcare if they travel out of their resident state?
      Yes, your parents can roam throughout Nigeria with your plan. Wherever they go within the country, there will be facilities available on our Serenity health plans. Please see our full list of providers here.
    • Can I customise my plan?
      Currently, we do not offer the ability to customise our consumer plans. However, we’ll be rolling out more plans in the near future, giving you the ability to tailor your Alafia coverage more closely to your specific requirements.
    • Isn't it cheaper for me just to pay whenever my elderly loved ones need hospital care?
      The thing about health emergencies is that you never know when they may strike. The logistics of getting money to pay for medical bills can be difficult at best and delay treatment at worst, during a time when speed is critical. Furthermore, Alafia is able to secure discounts with hospitals and other health providers because of the sheer amount of customers we send to them. And we pass that discount onto you. On the other hand, when you pay out of your own pocket, it costs more. Over time and across multiple visits, you’ll very quickly spend a lot more than you would with us.
